在此案例中，冰箱隐藏于餐厅梁柱后方，背对餐桌、面朝厨房。从厨房台面转身就能拿取冰箱的食材，同时从客餐厅拿饮料与零食亦相当方便，使用更为弹性，厨房空间也变得宽敞。

在设计时，并非单纯只用门一刀分划两区，而是在开放式/封闭式厨房之间，找到第三种生活机能的互动关系。
